Welcome to coasters remembered a forum for Coaster enthusiasts. There are many fine shipping sites on the Internet but we decided to develop one exclusively for Coasters. So wether you sailed on them or just admire them you are in the right place. From the immaculate Dutchmen to the proud Germans and the British workhorses we want to see them all. If you have ever loaded china clay from Par, Fowey or Charlestown or if you have ever loaded seed potatoes in Letterkenny or Derry or brought steel coils up the Thames then you are in the right place. If you know how to fold the corners of a tarpaulin and which way the wedges go or even if you have just stood on a bridge on the Humber or the Maas with your camera on a Sunday afternoon you are most welcome.
Well, as this Welcome was written many moons ago, we like to point out that we welcome everybody who is interested in Coastal Shipping as well, not the "old salts" only
You`ll notice too, that we`ve got more than coastal vessels shown on our site too, it was posted by our members in the past and we, as it is now, don`t want to delete them, as some members, who posted them did "cross the Bar way too early, cannot be asked for approval. If you don`t want to see them, you can hide it by clicking on the arrow on the right hand side of the Sub-forums.
