1936 Completed as NURNBERG by Bremer Vulcan, Vegesack, for Norddeutscher Lloyd
During WWII she served the German Navy as a repair ship, renamed MRS.12
In May 1945 she fell into Allied hands at Copenhagen, subsequently she was passed over to the Royal Navy to be used as a depot ship
1948 sold to H P Leneghan & Sons Ltd., Belfast, (Irish Bay Lines). Renamed DUNDALK BAY she was sent to Trieste for conversion to a migrant ship with basic accommodation for 1,025 passengers
Chartered to the International Refugee Organisation she made several trips to Australia before being converted back to a general cargo ship in 1951
1957 Sold to Duff, Herbert & Mitchell, London, renamed WESTBAY
1962 sold for demolition by Eisen Und Metall, Hamburg, where she arrived on September 2nd
Photo shows her laid up at North Shields, River Tyne, in June 1961, she had been towed there after suffering engine failure
