Although the weather was extremely rough, DanPilot managed to service all ships that had commissioned pilots during the storm. However, it was not without its challenges, as many pilots were trapped due to closed bridges and canceled trains and planes.
The pilot boat in Korsor had to act ferry and pick up the pilots, who were stranded in Nyborg, only to take them back across the Great Belt in 5 meter waves. Not the most pleasant experience for both sailors and pilots.

The harsh weather also led to pilots boats Ace of Spades and Canopus in Esbjerg was manned for 12 hours to Friday at 11 o'clock, to make the boats secure against damage, and to respond to a pilots order, which would otherwise be impossible.

Operations from the pilot station in Gedser had to shut down on Thursday afternoon, and is expected to resume Saturday at noon. Meanwhile serviced ships from mooring stations.
