Dierk. Great shot and it reminds me all those years ago, as a kid, I often spent my week
ends riding on a then Melbourne tug which burnt coal. Apparently the skipper was
not well liked by the pilots and often when this tug was used to either berth or
assisting a departure he would where possible get on the windward side of the
ships bridge and order smoke, blotting out the bridge totally. There were walkie
talkie radios in those days, but he would fein his as not working, the pilot
would yell orders down the phone but the old man would continue doing his thing

If you can`t see the ELFRIEDE on the first picture, she is moored on the western inner quay, astern of the old police launch OTTENSTREUER
