Constructed by NQEA in Cairns (Northern Queensland) and I was very much involved with this project in 2000
The Port Authority of Brisbane ordered this dredger for general works in Brisbane and other Qld ports.
Unfortunately NQEA no longer exists, but it was an excellent yard and built most of their versatile vessels inside a huge shed.
GRT was stated as 3000 and DWT 3600, by world standards a small dredger, however, this was all they required for the State work.
Here are few photos showing the construction and launch.
The vessel is currently working along the coast.
