"Sure Star" Delivery Details
The first of two ordered Damen FCS 2610?s was handed over to UK company
Sure Wind Marine on January 8th 2014 and is named ?Sure Star?. Sure Wind,
being a specialist in the German offshore wind market, headed straight to
Esbjerg and is deployed in the German windfarm fields. The second sister
vessel, ?Sure Swift? will be delivered end-February. This is their first time
new build Damen vessel. However, Sure Wind owns the first FCS 2610 ever
built ? the pioneering ?Shamal? - which was acquired in July 2013. This vessel
was then renamed ?Sure Shamal?.
