In 1910 the fugitive wife-murderer Dr. Crippen together with his mistress (disguised as his son) took passage on her from Antwerp to Montreal. The Captain realised who his passenger was and made the first ever use of the radio to send a message to the police in the U.K., who were able to board the faster LAURENTIC and arrive in Canada in time to arrest Crippen on his arrival there.
1916 reserved at Dover as an intended blockship.
Broke her moorings on 28/12/1916 and wrecked on the Goodwin Sands
