    She was the first reefer with both a first and last name, (Reefer), and she was part of a new series of reefers which the company had contracted.

    14-09-1935: Launched as PACIFIC REEFER, 09-11-1935: delivered as YRSA ? 23-07-1936 AFRICAN REEFER ? 23-08-1941 ROAMER ? 14-06-1946 AFRICAN REEFER.
    12-02-1938: Transferred to Rederiet Ocean A/S, K?benhavn.

    9. April 1940: She was at sea in the Atlantic Ocean on journey between San Fransisco to the Mediterranean.

    16-04-1940: Arrived at Funchal, Madeira and laid up.

    17-01-1941: Homeport changed from Esbjerg to Copenhagen

    12-08-1941: Left Funchal for New York

    23-08-1941: Arrived at New York. Taken over by the US Maritime Commission and renamed ROAMER with homeport in Panama City. Run by Marine Transport Lines.

    07-06-1946: Arrived San Francisco from Japan.

    14-06-1946: Re-delivered to Ocean A/S at San Francisco and renamed AFRICAN REEFER.

    28-09-1946: Arrived Aalborg V?rft A/S for repairs and refit after the war service.

    April-1947: BRT 1862 - NRT 968

    01-01-1954: Homeport changed back to Esbjerg

    1946: BRT 1731 ? NRT 819

    10-04-1963: Sold to ship-breaking-company. (DKR 319.000)

    Disposal Data:
    BU Krimpen 10-04-1963 Sold to Metaalhandel en Sloopwerken [H. P. Heuvelman, a/d Yssel].
    Price: DKR: 319.000,-

    Part of the ship?s hull to be used as a floating bunkering station in Lobith on the River Rhine. The bunkerstation was owned by Servicecentrum Lobith N.V.

    1999: Sold and rebuilt to a floating restaurant at Lobith under the name: Chinese Restaurant Hong Kong

      Yes Dierk.... I keep forgetting to use wordpad as a middle-tool between Excel and Word to get rid of the formatting bugs when uploading it here on CR, but as you can see I editted the uploaded file and it?s OK now I think...
