TITAN of Cie Generale Transatlantique (the French Line)
A Louis Levy postcard from the early 1900's
1889, 296grt, twin screw, 1200 IHP
Built by Laird Brothers, Birkenhead (567) as CAMBRIA for the London & North Western Railway Company
She was used as a tug/tender at Dublin, with a certificate for 500 passengers.
Sold to C.G.T. in 1894 and renamed TITAN, based at Le Havre as a tug.
During 1914-1918 she acted as a tender at Brest to the armed merchant cruisers LA PROVENCE, LA SAVOIE, LA TOURAINE and LA LORRAINE, all C.G.T. vessels
Broken up in 1930
