Hi Derek, found this via "Dr Google"

The Arreton was a 103-foot motor barge built in 1916 by W. Dobson & Co. in Newcastle as an 'X'-type landing craft, which later served as a commercial vessel in the Southampton area. It was known as the largest ship owned by the Town Quay/Southampton motor barge fleet, with a gross tonnage of 121 gt. [1, 2]
Key details regarding the Arreton barge include:
    • Dimensions: 103 ft in length overall (loa) and 20 ft in beam.
    • History: Operated as a motor barge, sometimes listed among fleets serving the Southern Daily Echo in Southampton.
    • Context: The name is associated with regional maritime history on the Isle of Wight and Southampton.
    • Related Location: Arreton Barns on the Isle of Wight features a Shipwreck Centre & Maritime Museum that houses various local maritime artifacts and old lifeboats. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Note: There is a distinction in the search results between the 'Arreton' barge (vessel) and the 'Lifeboat at Arreton Barns', which is a separate vessel moved to the museum site by lorry. [1, 2]

Best wishes, stay safe and take care
    Dierk
