    Hi Patrick, thanks for sharing

She traded lastly as "Peter Prior"

Miramar and Equasis are not up to date, still listed as "in service", but broken up in March 2009 at Vic Dock Buoy, River Thames as can be viewed here:

I've never quite being able to decide if they're quite possibly the most ugly set of coasters ever built, or one of the most unique and characteristic coasters ever built. They've definetely grown on me over the years, but perhaps thats just the nostalgia building up. Has anyone on here ever sailed on them, they must have a very cramped accomodation! Crew of 4?

Hi yes i sailed on this one as the Holmsound and Peter Prior.also on the Gino ex ambiance and yes the cabins were small but they were comfortable enough.these ships were very wet but very good sea ships and also good earners on the share.both of these ships had modified masters cabins when i had them with a nice size double bunk fitted but the mates and a/bs cabins were normal small size.and we only had 3 crew so everyone had there own cabin.

          best regards malc

Thanks for the reply Malc, sorry it took me so long to respond, I've only just come across your response here. They were certainly "unique" looking ships. I imagine they were quite similar in size to those XL400 coasters built for the likes of Everard and Tower Shipping etc. With only a 3 man crew I'm imagining that consisted of a Captain, Mate and a general dogs body covering the role of AB/Cook etc?

            All the best, Jordan
