Prawle Point
The reference to the loss of the Ramilles prompts me to mention that there is a song about the incident from which I pinched the tune for my ballad of the Herald of Free Enterprise. Its purpose is to enable people who were in no way involved to enter into the appropriate feelings and emotions. Newspapers try to do this, but reporters tend to get it wrong. They should learn from the old broadside ballads.
