A chap from goole goes on board a ship and asks the mate for a job,
" do you have any experience" asks the mate, " no but l am very honest
and hard working " says the lad, "ok" says the mate
two weeks later the goolie is scrubbing decks in bad weather when a
large wave washed him overboard, the captain seeing this rushed to the mate
shouting angrily, that HONEST,HARDWORKING goolie you employed has
just fucked off with our deck scrubber

what an idiot
:In the days before mobile phone l was due to sail from PAR one evening,so been up the phonebox to the wife telling her that pilot on board,gangway in, ready to sail, will ring
next port etc etc, when l got back to the ship the pilot said all sailings were cancelled
as too much swell over the bar and probably only next afternoon out.
so what do you do?, depart for the PAR INN for a cup of coffee and some intelligent
conversation !!!!.
as the evening drew to a close and you lot were singing away and making the ladies
scream in the background, due to the VERY STRONG COFFEE l decided it would
ring the wife and pledge my undying love for her. unfortunately l had negleted to tell
her l didnt sail and she assumed that l was on a vhf call with the radio on in the
background. all was going well until the BLOODY PIPS went on the phone when l
forgot to put more money in.
she still drags that one up

grumpy old miser
went to the cinema last night to watch GULLIVERS TRAVELS 3D, 4 people
36 pounds to get in plus 6 pound for stupid 3D glasses, unbeilevable.
and not even a TOM and JERRY or a BUGS BUNNY to start.
missus wanted some sweeties so l gave her some rennies l had in my pocket,
she wasn,t impressed?
by the way l thoughtthe film was rubbish

Union Star
l was on the rhine bound for cologne with the union moon when ut,s office
told me of the star, l also had my wife and 2 kids on board. on the way back
l had to load in neuss for penzance of all places, l sent my family home from rotterdam.
lt was certainly a tragic time.
