A lovely little vessel which i first saw in holland near nijmegen i met the owners then who also had a couple of tugs on the river waal. After she was delivered to colchester and laid up for a year or so I took this vessel from here to Brightlingsea to save her from the gypsys who kept letting the ropes go and trying to break in to her.the owner then a Chris wintle asked me to find her a safe berth so i took her to Hickmans berth in brightlingsea creek where she stayed laid up for a year or so untill sold to someone in Ireland who wanted her for a dive salvage vessel he told me he had found a wreck with Gold ingots onboard (yea Right !!!) and was going to salvage it.he was going to take her to southern Ireland himself but wanted me to take her to ipswich first for survey and fuel.
I took her to cliff quay Ipswich bunkered her took my money and went home never to hear anymore about the vessel or owner again..(maybee he struck gold !!) im too long in the tooth to believe in fairys !! but the history of her is true.

Hi Malc
Thanks for the info about this vessel, very intersting. i did not realise that she came over to Colchester for lay up. Always wondered what she was there for.
Cheers

Hi paul she originally was purchased by chris wintle for salvage work which fell through so she just laid there hoping for a contract untill such time they gave up and as i said above i took her away !!! she was lovely clean vessel with a massive salvage pump used in holland to pump spoil out from barges and the occasional salvage job.
Best regards MalcComment
